Working out the kinks!
This was the 2nd running of our derby in a catch an release format after we transitioned from a more traditional type of derby. For fish to be qualified, they had to swim away and be healthy... and though there is always room to improve, we are proud to say this year realized some dramatic improvements! We will continue to strive to do better, and with your help we are confident it can only go up from here!
As always the NWT business community came out with incredible levels of support! We gave away and raffled thousands of dollars worth of prizes, improved our equipment to continue to better our derbies, and donated a significant amount to the NWT Disabilities council. The NWT Arctic Anglers want to again say a heartfelt thank you to all those businesses that have supported us from the start, and extend a welcome to our new sponsors! Without the strength and support from these fine businesses, the derby couldn't be what is is today!!
This year we raised and donated $20,000 to the NWT Disabilities Council!! We are very excited to support this worth while group, and hope this donation will help them continue their great program into the future!
